Power · LNG, SC/USC

New power plant technologies for power-sector engineers

The need: Engineers working with the power system needed a fast, practical grounding in LNG-to-power and in supercritical and ultra-supercritical (SC/USC) coal plants.
What we did: Two separate 2-day programs designed around the trainees' daily work; the SC/USC program ran in 2026. In the SC/USC program, trainees worked in groups on real operation and maintenance problems, then presented and defended their mini-projects.
Result: 80 to 90% of trainees chose "strongly agree" on all eight quality criteria, with no negative answers. SC/USC program average score: 88/100.

Foreign-invested power · 2018

Power electronics for a foreign-invested BOT power plant

The need: The maintenance team of a large BOT coal-fired plant, run by an international operator, wanted to diagnose drive and inverter faults themselves instead of only swapping boards.
What we did: A hands-on program in the plant's own workshop, taught by our co-founder. Trainees opened real drive power modules and measured gate pulses and output currents with a high-speed recorder and isolated high-voltage probes.
Result: Engineers read real PWM switching and current waveforms they captured themselves, not just pictures on slides.

Coal-fired power · 2017-2019

Training and repairs for a 330 MW coal-fired plant

The need: The plant's electrical and maintenance teams needed deeper skills across protection, drives, testing and rotating equipment, and help with drives that had failed.
What we did: Four training programs over three years: digital protection relays; power electronics and drives with hands-on Siemens G120 work, taught by our co-founder; high-voltage testing; industrial valves and dynamic balancing of large motors. We also repaired an ABB ACS800 200 kW boiler feed pump drive and a 55 kW turbine hall crane drive.
Result: The plant came back to us four times in three years, for both training and repairs.

Cement · 2019, 2022

Digital transformation programs for the cement industry

The need: Cement plants wanted to understand what Industry 4.0 means for them in practice, and how to use data to cut energy use and run production better.
What we did: Two programs through a national cement technology institute: Industry 4.0 and digital transformation in cement; and digitalization of energy management and production. In 2022 the same client asked us for a program on fault analysis in plant distribution networks.
Result: A repeat client, and the groundwork for our applied AI and digital work today.

Mining · DCS

Control system for 5 km of conveyors at a coal mine

The need: A coal mine needed one control and monitoring system for its stone conveyor line: five conveyors, a chain conveyor and a crusher, 5 km in total.
What we did: Designed and installed the full sensor and monitoring system, and wrote the DCS software that supervises and controls the medium-voltage drives and motors of the conveyors.
Result: One integrated system for the whole line, built by the same engineers who teach DCS in our programs.
